Your Jazzy trio 😀
Parallel movement is an ensemble consisting of three musicians, coming together to play their favorite music in the jazz tradition. They met and became friends at the “Private university for music Gustav Mahler” in Klagenfurt, where they study. The name of the band comes from the theory of classical music, where a parallel movement describes a simultaneous movement of voices that creates an “unwanted” sonic effect. Embracing this, these musicians believe that beauty is often found in places not expected, and that music mirrors life closely in that what makes it beautiful also makes it flawed. That is not to say that they do not play their music aesthetically – it means that the music often takes unexpected, exciting turns and twists, as the musicians performing it take them as well.
